Desmadre in D.C.

#DONTHECON, who will become the 45th President of the United States despite losing the popular vote….

This is a good time to start the desmadre that will be Opinion Pie as we move forward.

After 8 successful years of a Democratic Administration that brought this nation back from the brink of a deep recession caused by the policies of the previous Republican administration, we’re once again going to be pushed off the precipice.

Despite losing the popular vote by more than ONE MILLION VOTES, Donald J. Trump, a man who is clueless about what he is embarking on is about to become the 45th President of this great nation.

Faced with more than 75 lawsuits alleging he defrauded contractors, students of his failed university, allegations of statutory rape, this is a man chosen by a minority of voters who want to take America back to the way it was in the 1950’s. They were skeered <sic> that a Democrat was going to take their guns, were forcing them to take personal responsibility for their health care by obtaining subsidized insurance so as not to be a burden on the rest of us.

And of course, with the help of WIKILEAKS and Trumps close association with the Russian President, which he lost no time contacting after the election, The Democratic candidate was libeled and slandered as she has been for the past 30 years to the point that some would have voted for her switched to Trump.

Then there was the voter suppression in states like North Carolina and Florida. Trump was correct. The election was rigged, but rigged in his favor.

I could go on but this is what Opinion Pie is about. To share our opinions and discuss what is happening in our new world and how it will affect all of us.

I’ll let you in on something. The two founders of this website are as different as night and day, literally. One is a white southern boy from south Texas, the other, an black man from New York City. We’re very close friends and if we can come together in agreement, so can anyone else with an open mind.

We’re stuck with Trump for the next fours years, but with hard work, in the mid-terms, we can turn the Congress Democratic and put an end to some of his most outrageous proposals. Not all his but the advice from the bigots, racists, white nationalists and others he has surrounded himself with for advice.

Jump on board. Let us know what you think and let’s try to make a difference somehow. All it takes is two people talking about it.
